SUBSTANCE ABUSE & ADDICTION CONVERSATIONS
Rewriting the Narrative
Break stigma. Build understanding. Foster healing.
This 5-week, trauma-informed workshop creates a safe space to explore the reality of addiction and substance use beyond fear, stigma, and misinformation.

Why this Conversation Matters?
Substance use and addiction affect every community, but stigma and misinformation keep us silent. Overdoses are rising, and outdated "War on Drugs" narratives still shape how we treat people who use substances.
It’s time to replace fear with understanding and judgment with compassion.
About the Workshop
This immersive course explores the history, cultural narratives, and personal impacts of substance use. We’ll examine everything from everyday stimulants like coffee to stigmatized substances such as heroin, methamphetamine, and psychedelics (Ayahuasca, LSD, MDMA).
Through open conversation, participants will:
-
Explore personal and cultural narratives about addiction.
-
Understand how stigma and misinformation perpetuate harm.
-
Learn how to hold compassionate, nonjudgmental discussions.
-
Reimagine what it means to be in “right relationship” with substances.
